During the two years of war in Ukraine, children in the frontline areas have spent more than 5000 hours, or almost 7 months of their childhood, in bomb shelters.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war in February 2014, shelling has not stopped in the country, resulting in about 3,500 air raids in the Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv regions and almost 6,200 in the Donetsk region. This has a devastating impact on children's mental health and their ability to learn effectively.
