Despite the value of every human life, we are more concerned about the deaths of children because they are the most defenseless.
On the one hand, this is precisely the message of art - to reveal the most painful things; on the other hand, an ordinary uncle with a belly, killed by a Russian shell, is no less a tragic victim of this war. It's just that we're all a bit visual and consumers of the reality show format. This is wrong from the point of view of logic, but normal from the point of view of our human nature... And the sniper under the hill was an enemy by design. Because those creatures, from the point of view of human nature, are creatures without any signs of humanity.
