The first 10 days of the war in Kyiv

6 pictures are too short to be called a diary, but they still chronicle the first week or 10 days of the war in Kyiv.
1/ Morning of February 24. I listen to rocket explosions, car alarms, and look at the low, dirty sky, red with flares.
I packed Severina's things and waited until the last minute to wake her up, because it's going to be a hard day. It's the hardest thing I've ever done - to see a little girl sleeping with her stuffed animals, who doesn't know the war has started.
2/ Havana Bridge, a car shot and burned, I think on February 25th. There are no cars, and the ones that are there are moving fast. The traffic lights are not working. There's a hum coming from the direction of Gostomel.
3/ On February 28, I drove journalists to Markhalivka. It took us 6 hours to get back to Kyiv. Civilian traffic was constantly interrupted from various directions by convoys of ambulances, military equipment and trucks. Every 5 minutes we heard sirens, and periodically the military jumped out of the cars and actually moved the frightened traffic with their hands to allow the special vehicles to pass.
4/ Obolon, in February. Brought hygiene and journalists to the military positions. To the left I hear machine gun fire and larger shots or explosions.
5/ March 2-3, Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers at a checkpoint near Teremky, where I brought the first bulletproof vest.
6/ Bastionna, March
