A subway station filled with belongings of people who have to live on the floor. I want to focus on personal belongings, blankets for warmth, tents. It's a feeling when you realize that only what you can carry with you in your hands is yours.

Since the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion, the Kyiv subway has been functioning as a shelter during missile attacks. Many Kyiv residents took refuge here during the most difficult days of February and March. To mark the Day of the Kyiv Metro, NV collected photos of how its stations became a second home during the occupiers' attacks:
